The vinyl is thick but not too thick. A heavy wind will not affect it but it curves if needed. It is not perfectly straight but is very close. I have an old house with big air gaps. This will take care of most of my troubles. I can cut around things and it will sit fine but some places it will not like the lock in the picture. It is not strong enough to stay over bumps so I cut it. The other picture shows a bubble where I had to straighten it because it is not perfectly straight coming out of a roll. It is real 3M adhesive and probably real 3M vinyl. I am satisfied with my purchase. I do not expect the adhesive to last very long. It tries to come undone a few minutes after I push it against the door repeatedly. I expect I will have to get a better adhesive soon.
